FETAC Level 6 Patient Handling Instructor RPL

For those trainers who are already certified as Patient Handling Instructors there is a process called RPL available to upgrade their certification to FETAC Level 6. The learner will be required to complete an application form detailing their prior knowledge and experience and then Qualtec will recommend whether the applicant can progress to the RPL Assessment day or whether they require assistance. Qualtec offer an RPL Preparation Workshop(s) for this purpose. The learner then will attend the assessment day and complete the individual assessments (Examination, Presentation, Manual Handling Demonstration).

• Practise and feedback on People Handling Moves
• Explanation of FETAC assessment criteria
• Use of Hoists and other equipment
