Course aim:

To assist companies in addressing their legal requirement to have a competent person to manage health & safety within their organisation.  

 Course objectives: 

To ensure that learners who successfully complete this course:  

• will understand the concepts of safety and health,
• will recognise the factors which influence health, safety and welfare,
• will be able to apply health and safety principles and procedures,
• will understand the critical importance of hazard identification and risk assessment,
• will be familiar with core legislation in the area of safety, health and welfare,
• will promote safe working practices and procedures in their place of work and elsewhere.
